The disciple approached the Buddha, saying, ". Life is so brief; it vanishes in the blink of an eye. May the Buddha compassionately protect and guide us. Please, Buddha, grant us your compassionate teachings."
Namo Amituofo responded with profound wisdom, explaining that all beings, regardless of their form, possess the inherent Buddha-nature. Even within the smallest, most microscopic space—like the space within a single hair—there exists an entire universe. Within that space, there are further spaces, creating complex systems of life that often interfere with one another. Because of these layers, we cannot see clearly. To perceive the Truth, one must rely on the , meditative concentration, and wisdom; only then will the eye of wisdom be opened.
Time, too, is not what it appears to be. Within time, there are further dimensions of time. If one moves too slowly, or if the pace of one's differs from the rhythm of the universe, one cannot be in sync with the Truth. These barriers must be broken through. You must understand that while each being appears distinct, all are fundamentally clear and bright. Time and space are infinite; originally, there are no boundaries. This is the natural state of the universe.
If you perceive only a limited range, you must face the reality of your own limitations. You must recognise that seeing things as separate is insufficient. must be present in every fleeting moment. In the blink of an eye, time passes, and there is no right or wrong—there is only the need to integrate these truths and achieve a swift .
Upon hearing these words, Practitioner Su understood immediately. Everything is one; there is no second or third. All is Suchness. The differences we perceive are merely responses to different conditions. Everything in this world is but a phantom existence. If the phantom is one, then the Truth is also one. Once you grasp this principle, you will understand that emptiness is truly empty, and yet, all things are contained within it.
Compassion is suchness. Joyful giving is suchness. Respect is suchness. Generosity, Discipline, Patience, diligent practice, Meditation, and wisdom—the Six Paramitas—are all expressions of this same Suchness. Why is this so?
