Rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss

This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Guo Yuehua, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition and her message to her descendants. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on March 10, 2023.

Lay Practitioner Guo Yuehua speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I have seen the Buddha! He is so immense, so profoundly compassionate, gazing upon every single being with infinite love. I am but one of those beings, yet I felt His presence so clearly. Before, my world was so small. It was limited to my family and those I cared for. I realise now that this is a common human trait—a form of selfishness that blinds us to the greater truth of existence. It was not just me; everyone around me lived within these same narrow confines."

The Root of Suffering and Illness

"After my spirit was rescued and brought to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, I listened to the Dharma teachings. It was there that I finally understood: illness is born from this very selfishness. When we are unwell, we become irritable, we complain, and we harbour resentment. I did not realise that these negative thoughts were the very cause of my suffering. Every evil thought creates bad cells in the body, and it is these thoughts that summon our karmic creditors to appear before us. The more evil thoughts and bad cells we accumulate, the more severe our illness becomes. I have finally seen the true state of the human body with such clarity. In this final message to my family, I want to share this truth with you, because I do not want any of you to walk the path of suffering and illness that I once did."

A Debt of Gratitude

"I am so deeply grateful to Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre for saving me. Through her guidance, my entire being was purified, and I was able to follow the Buddha. Now, I chant the Buddha-name with such stability and peace. It is the only way for a spirit to truly escape the cycle of being reincarnated. Although learning the Dharma may seem like a religious practice, my dear children, you must strive to understand it deeply. It is the path to true liberation."

A Message of Eternal Love

"If you wish to see me again, make the vow to reunite with me in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. It is a real, beautiful world, free from all pain and suffering. I hope you can all come to know this truth. Whether I was your mother, your grandmother, or your elder, my life in this world has come to an end. I am now in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and there is no future life of suffering for me, no more cycle of being reincarnated. Please, take my words to heart. Do not wonder why I do not speak of the past; the past is gone, and we must all look forward."

"I hope to bring you the wisdom I have gained and the peace I have felt. I still love you all, but my love has transformed into something greater. I hope you can feel it. Namo Amituofo."
