Reunited in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss

Lay Practitioner Li Fuyi, the grandfather of Lay Practitioner Li Hanhao, sought Spiritual Deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This interview was recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fajing, on September 27, 2024.

Lay Practitioner Li Fuyi speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am filled with such profound gratitude, a gratitude so deep that it overflows from my heart. I truly find it hard to believe that I have arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. The environment here is so beautiful, so magnificent, that it surpasses anything I could have ever imagined in my wildest dreams. Everyone here is radiating such immense joy, and to be reunited together in this Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is our greatest blessing and the most wonderful of Causal Conditions.

I must first express my deepest, most heartfelt gratitude to my grandson in the human world. Without his tireless efforts in seeking Spiritual Deliverance for us, we would never have had the opportunity to come here to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss to see Namo Amituofo. My grandson is a truly filial and obedient soul. He possesses such immense blessings; he has saved us and brought us here to the Western Land to attain Buddhahood—though I dare not claim the title of Buddha for myself, he has helped us transcend the cycle of birth and death. By performing these virtuous deeds, he has accumulated so much merit. He is truly a blessed individual."

A Reunion Beyond the Cycle of Rebirth

"Today, several of us arrived in the Western Land together. The person who was closest to me during my life would have to be my wife. To have been husband and wife in that life and then to be able to return to the Western Land together after death—such Causal Conditions are truly wonderful and precious. I am so very grateful for this outcome.

Actually, we did not speak much while we were in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. Today, when we decided to come to the Western Land, it was I who made the first move. When they heard that I was coming, they all said they would follow, and so we arrived together in this glorious place."

The Suffering of Samsara and the Power of Deliverance

"During those days in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, I witnessed the suffering of so many spirits. They were revealed to me so naturally. After observing them and listening to the Dharma talks given by Practitioner Su, I finally truly understood the agony of being reincarnated. Every spirit that has not yet returned to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is suffering immensely.

To be able to come here to Practitioner Su to seek Spiritual Deliverance is the greatest blessing a spirit could ever receive, yet it seems not every spirit is able to return to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. That is why I feel so grateful to be here today. When the Dharma Body of Practitioner Su reached out to guide us, we arrived instantly—it felt as close as if we were just in the next room. It is truly inconceivable."

A Grandfather's Hope for the Future

"I hope my grandson will continue to study the Dharma diligently. If he can save more people, that will be his greatest blessing, because helping others is truly of the utmost importance. He should help as many people as he has the strength to assist. Following Practitioner Su to learn how to perform Spiritual Deliverance and save spirits is also vital; he must continue to do all of these things. I have full faith that my grandson will be able to accomplish this.
