Reunited in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss: The Journey of Kuang Xiangying

This is a record of an interview with Kuang Xiangying, who sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition from the human world to the Western Land, guided by the compassionate intervention of Practitioner Su. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fajing, on February 24, 2023.

Kuang Xiangying speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I want to tell all my friends and family, especially my children, that I have finally arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I am so incredibly happy. It is a joy that words cannot fully capture, a lightness of heart that I have never known before.

Today, four of us were prepared early, waiting for Practitioner Su to lead us to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. One of them was my husband. It felt so natural that we decided together on this very day to make the journey. In the Western Dharma-Nature Land, we do not speak as we did in the human world. It is truly wondrous—everything is so different from our past lives. We recognise each other, and we know that we were once husband and wife, but now, it is as if we are each a distinct spirit, carrying the memories of this life and the memories of countless past lives throughout our many lives.

A Cycle of Rebirth Finally Broken

Although I cannot see everything with perfect clarity yet, I know that my spirit has traversed through many cycles of rebirth. I have been an animal, a human, and even a plant. Think about it—how many times have I wandered in the darkness, lost and confused? It is only now, through the grace of Practitioner Su, that we have been guided to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I am filled with such profound gratitude! It is a debt of kindness that I can never repay.

From the moment I left the human world until I was saved by Practitioner Su, I was finally able to wake up completely. Before that, I was still tethered to the world. Even though I knew I had passed away, my heart was still burdened by attachments—attachments to my children and my family. I was constantly looking back, unable to let go of the life I had left behind. It was a heavy, invisible chain that kept me from moving forward.

The Splendour of the Western Land

After my child performed the Chao Du for me, Practitioner Su brought my spirit to the Western Dharma-Nature Land. Only then did I realise that such a beautiful place existed, and that the Buddhas are truly here. I have seen the magnificent form of Namo Amituofo, as well as Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, and countless other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas whom I had never seen before. There are so many of them, and I can see them every single day. The light here is not like the light of the sun; it is a gentle, radiant warmth that fills every corner of my being.

Being able to be with the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is the greatest blessing I could ever receive. I must thank my child, Ruizhen. If it were not for your help, how could I have had such a wonderful Causal Condition to reach the Western Land? Mother thanks you from the bottom of my heart. You have given me the greatest gift a child could ever give a parent.

A Mother's Final Plea

I hope that all my relatives and children still in the human world will follow the Buddha closely. In this lifetime, you must chant Namo Amituofo and come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Listen to my words—returning here is the only correct path. Do not let the distractions of the world keep you from your true home. I am waiting for you here, in this land of ultimate joy where there is no more suffering, only peace.
