Understanding the Nature of Demons

The Essence of the Demonic

One might ask, what exactly is a demon? A demon possesses a personality defined by intense, negative emotions and a persistent, destructive outlook on the world. Their very nature and power are rooted in destruction, harm, and aggression. The survival and behaviour of these beings are entirely dependent on the consumption of energy. They can enter the human body to drain its vital energy, or they may attack celestial bodies to seize the energy stored within them. This process inevitably leads to the depletion of a person's strength and causes a profound, negative transformation in their personality traits.

The Pervasiveness of Demonic Beings

Demonic beings are those who once possessed a physical form but have since entered the Demon Realm as spirits. They exist without a physical body and are scattered throughout the vastness of the Dharma Realm. They can be found everywhere, including within our Earth, the Milky Way, the wider universe, and in various other dimensions, including the realms beyond the heavens. These beings are not merely external entities; they can influence us based on our own thoughts, intentions, and behaviours. When our internal state resonates with their negative energy, they can enter our bodies and interfere with our physical and mental functions. For instance, they may enter the head to control our thoughts, ideas, or actions, steering us toward increasingly negative outcomes.

Karmic Creditors and the Cycle of Enmity

Demons can also manifest as our karmic creditors. These are beings with whom we have created deep enmity in the past. Having entered the Demon Realm and become part of the demon crowds, they now seek to settle these old scores. When a person in this life possesses a human body, these karmic creditors may enter that body to obstruct their life and demand the repayment of past karma. This interference is a direct consequence of the laws of cause and effect, manifesting as obstacles in our daily lives.

The Hierarchy and Varieties of Demons

The demon crowds are organised according to their seniority and influence. They exist in various forms, ranging from ancient demons and old demons to the vast ranks of demon kings, demon children, and demon grandchildren. Depending on their specific characteristics, they may form different groups within the Demon Realm or exist as solitary entities. We can categorise them by their specific traits:

• The Five Poisons: Demons of greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, and doubt.
• The Five Desires: Demons of wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep.
• Modern Distractions: If one is addicted to technology, one may often invite the presence of technology demons, such as phone demons, computer demons, or internet demons, into their own body.

The Path to Liberation

If you wish to stop the interference of demons in your life, you must begin by changing your personality traits. You must stop thinking negatively and stop viewing the world through a lens of darkness. The path to liberation begins with the simple, yet profound, practice of cultivating a pure heart. You must strive to:

• Always keep a kind heart.
• Speak only words that are beneficial and kind.
• Perform good deeds for the benefit of all beings.
• Conduct yourself as a person of virtue and integrity.

By aligning your life with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, you will naturally distance yourself from these negative influences and find the peace you seek. Namo Amituofo.
